About Riverstone Water Gardens
Meet the Founder
David Gunn | Founder & President
David established Riverstone Water Gardens driven by his passion for craftsmanship, family, and the tranquility that flowing water provides. Before launching Riverstone, water gardening was merely a hobby for David, who ran a busy hospice agency in Southern California. He spent long days and nights devoted to running a 40+ employee corporation and coordinating end-of-life care for individuals navigating one of life's most challenging phases. This experience in healthcare instilled in him a dedication to clear communication, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine care for those who entrusted him with their needs.
After closing his business in 2024, he decided to pivot away from healthcare, embracing a new path that brought him outdoors and allowed him to create spaces where people could unwind and reconnect with nature, and one another. Now, as a Certified Aquascape Contractor based in Moreno Valley, California, David proudly serves homeowners and clients throughout Southern California.
Through Riverstone, he, constructs, maintains, and repairs custom ponds, pondless waterfalls, fountainscapes, and outdoor living areas, skillfully integrating natural stone, aquatic plants, and flowing water to enliven each environment. For David, a water feature transcends mere landscaping; it a sanctuary for enjoying serene mornings, gathering with loved ones, and connecting with nature right at home. This personal connection shapes his approach to every project, from initial discussions to the final touches.
Reconnect With Nature, and One Another
There’s something about moving water that invites us to slow down, settle in, and spend time together. Whether it’s a swim pond, koi pond, waterfall, or fountain, a thoughtfully designed water feature brings nature closer and gives family and friends a place to gather. From quiet mornings beside the pond to evenings filled with conversation, these spaces become part of everyday life—and the setting for lasting memories.
Water Features Built to WOW, and to LAST
Every water feature we create brings together natural beauty, thoughtful design, and lasting craftsmanship. We combine proven construction methods and quality materials with the knowledge and support of the Certified Aquascape Contractor community. Guided by integrity and meticulous attention to detail, we build breathtaking ponds, waterfalls, and fountains that perform as beautifully as they look—and are built to stand the test of time.
